New Veterans Display and Upcoming Programming

The latest edition of “A Military Life”, a rotating exhibit honoring Washington County Veterans, is now on display in the Jonesborough/Washington County History Museum. The newest installment features radio equipment used by First Sergeant (Retired) Douglas Bonnot during his time with the 265^th Radio Research Company (RRC) in Vietnam. Mr. Bonnot will be demonstrating the equipment and talking about the history and role of the 265^th RRC on Sunday, March 1 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Jonesborough/Washington County History Museum located inside the Jonesborough Visitor’s Center.

The 265^th RRC was stationed in Vietnam from 1967-1972, but very few people know they best online casino even existed. Their wartime designation, meant to keep their mission disguised, lasted long after the Vietnam War was over and kept most information about them out of the history books. Over the past decade, Mr. Bonnot has worked to correct this, gathering the stories and memories of his fellow soldiers and publishing them in a book, The Sentinel and the Shooter.
