Regional Assistance

The Heritage Alliance, as a Partner in the Field of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is dedicated to providing on the ground technical assistance to our region. The Alliance, while based in Jonesborough, works throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia to provide resources, guidance, and consultation to owners of historic properties, non-profit organizations, and governmental institutions. This consultation ranges on a variety of issues, ranging from funding sources for projects to technical skills such as paint analysis.

These services are offered by our staff Preservationist free of charge to local non-profit organizations and to local governments, and to private residents for a set project fee. This fee includes travel for our staffer to the project site and work associated with the project. Additional fees may be accrued for the preparation of reports and the purchasing of supplies for the project's completion.
