Heritage Alliance Trivia Night Gets Spooky This October with the McKinney Center

The Scare-itage Alliance is teaming up with the McSpooky Center to put a haunting spin on History Trivia Night. Join us on October 1st for a frighteningly fun Halloween Trivia contest with questions to test your knowledge of all things ghostly and historical!

 

The festivities will take place on Saturday, October 1st at 7:00 pm at the McKinney Center with general history-based trivia questions, friendly competition, a costume contest, and a ton of fun! Not a “history buff?” Don’t worry! These questions cover a wide range of topics and categories and include something for everyone. We will have questions about Halloween, ghost stories, movies, and more! Main Street Café will also be on hand to sell a frightening assortment of beers.

 

It’s only $5.00 per person to play! Tickets are available online through the Town of Jonesborough’s ticketing system at Jonesborough.com/tickets. You can also call the Heritage Alliance at 423.753.9580 to order tickets. Solo play is allowed. Teams are encouraged, but the person limit per team is 8 people. Heritage Alliance and McKinney Center staff will host the event, tallying points and administering prizes to the winners. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages. The costume contest will occur during intermission. Dress up and try to win a prize!

The Heritage Alliance’s riotously fun trivia night is back on Friday, July 22nd at the Olde Towne Pancake House!

 

Join us at the Olde Towne Pancake House in Jonesborough on Friday, July 22nd at 7:00 pm for general history-based trivia questions, friendly competition, and a ton of fun! The restaurant will open at 6:00 pm that evening with a limited dinner menu for trivia participants. Now is your chance to try a pancake and breakfast inspired charcuterie board.

 

Not a “history buff?” Don’t worry! Trivia questions cover a wide range of topics and categories and include something for everyone. Previous topics have included Odd Jobs, Pop Culture, Food & Drink, Sports, and more!

 

Teams (of up to six people) can register up until the evening of the event, which will kick off at 7:00 PM and last approximately two hours. We request that teams check in with the hosts prior to the event. Joe Spiker and Megan Cullen Tewell with the Heritage Alliance will host the event, tallying points and administering prizes to the winners. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages. Cost is $10.00 per team, although additional donations are appreciated.

History Trivia Is Back!

The Heritage Alliance’s riotously fun trivia night returns this summer with three in-person dates!

 

Join us at the Eureka Inn in Jonesborough on Friday, May 27th at 7:00 pm for general history-based trivia questions, friendly competition, and a ton of fun! We will be outside in the courtyard for this event. Go ahead and mark Friday, June 24th and Friday, July 22nd on your calendars, too. Those will be our other trivia dates, locations for those two dates is TBD.

Join us at the Jonesborough Visitors Center on Thursday, December 16th at 7:00 pm for holiday-themed and history-based trivia questions, friendly competition, and a ton of fun! Not a “history buff?” Don’t worry! These questions cover a wide range of topics and categories and include something for everyone. We will have questions about holiday celebrations, movies, music, and more!

 

Teams (of up to six people) can register up until the evening of the event, which will kick off at 7:00 PM and last about an hour and a half. We request that teams check in with the hosts prior to the event. The Heritage Alliance, or should we say Scare-itage Alliance is bringing its riotously fun trivia night back in October with questions to test your knowledge of all things spooky and historical!

 

Join us at the Eureka Inn in Jonesborough on Friday, October 8th at 7:00 pm for general history-based trivia questions, friendly competition, and a ton of fun! The Eureka Inn will host both events in their outside courtyard and feature a “light bites” menu.

 

Not a “history buff?” Don’t worry! These questions cover a wide range of topics and categories and include something for everyone. We will have questions about Halloween, witches, movies, and more!

 

Teams (of up to six people) can register up until the evening of the event, which will kick off at 7:00 PM and last about an hour and a half. We request that teams check in with the hosts prior to the event. Joe Spiker, Head Docent of the Chester Inn State Historic Site and Museum, and Megan Cullen Tewell, Programming Coordinator at the Heritage Alliance, will host the event, tallying points and administering prizes to the winners. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages. Cost is $5 per team, although additional donations are appreciated. This is an outdoor event (weather permitting), but we ask that you wear a mask until seated at your table, and we ask that anyone who enters the Eureka wears a mask. Costumes are encouraged.

February 18 History-Themed Trivia Night

The Heritage Alliance is pleased to offer a history-themed team trivia challenge on Thursday, February 18 at 7:00 PM. This is the second trivia event sponsored by the organization, who first offered the program in December 2020. The event encourages friendly competition for participants who answer questions pertaining to general historical knowledge.

 

 

Teams (of up to six people) can register for this virtual trivia experience up until the evening of the event, which will kick off at 7:00 PM and last approximately two hours. Joe Spiker, Head Docent of the Chester Inn State Historic Site and Museum, and Megan Cullen Tewell, Programming Coordinator at the Heritage Alliance, host the event via Zoom, tallying points and administering prizes to the winners. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages. Cost is $5 per team, although additional donations are appreciated.
